Scaffolding first, then the new roof
Erecting the scaffolding is the first essential step before any new roof. Our team arrived early to set up a safe, stable working platform round the front and rear of this Reigate house, so the roofers can work at height with the property and the area round it protected.
Level on an uneven plot
Reigate homes often sit on uneven plots, so we assessed the access and the ground levels and used adjustable base plates to give a level foundation. Every section was locked, braced and secured, and protective sheeting went on to stop debris falling during the strip-off.
Ready for the new roof
The scaffold gives full access to the ridge, the valleys and the chimney stack, for removing the old tiles, fitting new breathable felt and treated battens and laying the new covering. It stays in place until the final inspection is complete.
