Loose ridge tiles let water straight into the top of the house.
When the mortar under the ridge fails, the ridge tiles start to move and water gets in along the top of the roof. In East Grinstead in April 2026 we found exactly that: loose mortar, movement in several ridge tiles and early signs of water ingress. The answer was a full grind-out and re-bed.
We grind out the old mortar with dust-controlled tools, lift each ridge tile and check the roof tiles beneath, then bed every ridge tile on a strong sand and cement mix, set it straight and point it neatly. If you would rather never deal with ridge mortar again, we can fit a dry ridge system instead.
The result is a ridge that is secure, weatherproof and ready for the next storm, with a neater look from the street. All work is guaranteed and we are fully insured.

Whole roof replaced, joists included
They were very quick for inspection and doing the job, competitive on price and did a good job in replacing the whole roof including joists and patching the concrete on the side. They cleaned up the space after and were prompt with communication. My only gripe is that they did not reattach the existing netting to how it was before, but it was just left semi-covering the space. Overall I would recommend them.
